Although I only picked up a camera seriously for the first time in 2011, landscape photography has developed into something of a personal obsession. Much of what I capture is based in the Mournes, a modestly sized mountain range in Northern Ireland. Being local to the area, I have a group of friends that I often hike and photograph with- sometimes we get blazing sunsets, puffy white inversions, dramatic bulging skies.. but more often than not, as is customary in Northern Ireland, we get rain. The mountains here aren't that big, pokey or scary compared to what you find in the Highlands of Scotland or Snowdonia in Wales but they do have their own rugged charm that I enjoy making the most of.
In 2016 one of my photograph's won a national award- Trail UK Mountain Photo of the Year. My images of the Mournes have also been shortlisted Outdoor Photographer of the Year (OPOTY) and Landscape Photographer of the Year (LPOTY).
I have an occasional role as photographer for 'Experience EPIC'. Clients in the past have included Carl Frampton, Barry McGuigan, Paul Gascoigne and other sporting personalities.
